It was working fine for me for 3 years since I installed it and now, according to Avast, they detected infection with malware just recent! I uninstalled and reinstalled again but it didn't work. The infection causing issue comes from this extension! Please fix it!

As at January 16th 2025, this extension is working very well. Anyone who rates it anything less than 5 or 4 stars, don't know what they are doing. This extension is NOT a download manager, it's purpose is to be a support for Free Download Manager (FDM, which is the actual download manager). So first, install Free Download Manager on your PC just like you would do for any app. Then come here and install this extension too. Now, as you're browsing and you want to download something, the extension serves to transfer that duty from your inbuilt download manager of your browser, to Free Download Manager app you installed on your computer (Useful for big files!). You can also pause the extension anytime you don't want to download using FDM. 5 stars!

what do i do when FDM stops capturing the download, making have to copy/paste the url? Also is FDM no longer available on edge? because I can't download it.
It's nice, u just had to download the FDM and then after u done download it, download the extension, and try download something and, the FDM runs when u downloading and u can just wait! and this is nice, btw a good detail, i also loves the slow mode.. it's very very good!

since update FDM cant download or catch file download, try to reinstall or change setting stiil not resolve the issue.

Does not work since release of FDM 6.24.2 using Edge Browser and this AddOn. AddOn tries to intercept download, then displays a notification it cannot intercept download and the option to ignore or to blacklist the website for further interception. This happens on each and every website and for all types of downloads.
I've have been using FDM for around 3 years now, got a new computer and redownloaded it and it's extension. really good for when you download an image file, then say it's a .JPEG but you want it to be a .PNG (as an example) Also helps download things faster and when the download goes down, you can continue where it left off! 10/10 would never get rid of.
can not download on youtube
mine stopped working. and i have just 2% left for what i was downloading, over 140Gb worth of data shouldn't go to waste please. kindly assist. free download manager no longer recognizes my extension. and i don't want to delete and reinstall so i don't loose 98% of what i have already download

FDM is one of the best download applications, however it looks like not working with or not supported by Chrome now.
A fantastic app for windows.
